Friday fun math stations

We reviewed many of our concepts during math workshops today. We began today by counting to 10. We practiced pointing to objects as we count, as well as crossing off objects we have already counted. During stations, the children played a numeral matching game, practiced ordering numbers, created playdoh numbers, and played numeral recognition games.

Writing numbers and letters

This week, we are learning about the letters "a" and "g." We are practicing the sounds, sky writing the letters, and writing them on dry erase boards. While many students are able to correctly identify the letters, they are all benefitting from learning the proper letter formation and practicing the sounds.

In math, we are learning numbers up to 10. Everyday, we practice counting sets, writing numbers, and reviewing skills from the previous day. While we practice writing our numerals, we still have time to play at math stations. Whether we are doing work on the active-board or using manipulatives, we keep math fun and exciting!

Next week we will continue to work with sets of more and fewer, counting and writing numerals to 10, and learning letters "d" and "s."

Painting fun!

Yesterday, we used cardboard tubes to stamp black circles on the paper. Today, we used our watercolor paints to fill in the picture.
