Various exercises in reading and writing

We are reinforcing that reading and writing are fun and exciting activities.

Students began practicing independent reading. They each had two small books. They practiced turning the pages ans some children read the words!

What a busy day!

The kindergarteners had a wonderful day!

Students played partner games in math. They practiced recognizing numbers 1, 2, and 3 in different arrangements.

During centers, many students enjoy playing in our "store."

We have also been exploring with math manipulatives.

We did our first full math lesson from the EnVision curriculum. We worked on identifying our learning objectives, using our math mat for problem solving, interactive centers, and reteaching worksheets (completed in small groups).

Classroom Rules

We worked together to create our classroom rules. We will be practicing these rules over the next few days to gain a solid understanding.

Hello!

I am very excited to begin this school year! The first day of school is just around the corner. This school year, we have a new math curriculum called EnVision. This curriculum provides daily review, hands on centers, and individualized work. We will also be using FunDations for literacy instruction.
