Holiday party
The students had the choice of various materials to make a fun Santa face.
A party is never complete without delicious donuts.
They even played a game involving a snowman! They had to roll the dice and add parts to the snowman.
Thank you to the amazing parents who donated items and helped out. The party concluded with a parent reading a story. What a great way to celebrate the holidays!

Story retelling
We are working with the book What About Bear? The story talks a lot about friendship. Today we did story retelling on the ActivBoard.
Pizza Hut literacy center
The students have been very interested in dramatic play. We transformed a space in our classroom for a Pizza Hut themed center. We added many items to promote literacy, such as menus, receipts, gift cards, and ordering forms. The children have been building on their social skills as they work to take turns and share.

Mystery name painting
Today we practiced writing our names multiple times on a white sheet of paper. Then our names magically appeared when we watercolor painted over it!
Many children are still working on name writing skills and fine motor control. We are learning how to hold our pencil and write properly. Glad we could make it fun today!!! School work is always better with paint!
